A kinetic garment that responds to sound of the wearer's voice.

 

OVERVIEW

 
  • resøna seeks to identify ways we can sense and visualize the vibrations we generate from our bodies, and to amplify it sculpturally and kinetically through a wearable garment. What kind of aural landscape do the vibrations generated from our vocals look like? By implementing vibration sensors near the throat inside the garment, this wearable translates specific frequencies into undulating movements in the fabric. Each wearer creates a unique kinetic pattern in the garment, reflecting the state and identity of their vocal vibrations.
