Live performative project developed for the New Interface for Musical Expressions (NIME) course for ITP NYU.

OVERVIEW

  • Live performative project developed for the New Interface for Musical Expressions (NIME) course for ITP NYU.

There are ten moveable, soft touch pads that trigger sound and LEDs when pressed. One of the pads is worn on the body, so the performer is simultaneously interacting with the other modular pads. The original music composition is inspired by NASA recordings of sounds from space.

Performed at Knitting Factory, Brooklyn, NY, December 2014.
